There I was, looking down at the pavement. It didn't seem possible that in the midst of all this concrete and steel, such a beautiful little thing could take root and flourish. But there it was, struggling toward the sun; this tenacious little flower - a crazy renegade. I was inspired. I made a mental note of it, and carried on with my day in the factory. “Not just another industry drone,” I thought. I now had the impetus to do something different; something worthwhile.

And so, Grumpy Clothing was conceived; the seed of an idea born from an ugly and confusing time and place. Now, we're a fully-fledged company striving to create art that inspires people to think and see outside the box. In a way, each shirt is a diary entry shared by many - and hopefully inspiring more people in turn.
